The Barn at Wight Farm Wedding

Krysta and Stephen were married at the always-beautiful Barn at Wight Farm in Sturbridge, MA. This venue is one of my favorites in Central Massachusetts (alongside the Publick House Historic Inn)! Its exposed beams, warm wood accents, and cozy atmosphere make it the perfect choice for couples seeking a New England-inspired venue.

The property features both indoor and outdoor spaces, providing flexibility for ceremonies and receptions while maintaining an intimate and inviting feel. With a day filled with cornhole, good friends, good food, good drinks, and good music, what else could you ask for?

While you and your guests can’t stay on the property, this venue has a beautiful bridal suite perfect for getting ready. The wedding party enjoyed a laid-back morning full of laughs and time together. Krysta and Stephen opted to skip a first look, so they shared a true first-look moment when Krysta walked down the aisle with her mom.

The ceremony was held indoors in the Alpheas Room. I love the look and feel of this space! The wood plank floors and warm lighting give it a rustic yet elegant and modern vibe—perfect for a wedding ceremony. Krysta and Stephen said their heartfelt “I dos” and were ready to celebrate with family and friends!

After their ceremony, we headed outdoors for couples’ and wedding party portraits while guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the patio. The property is stunning, especially in the summer, with plenty of open grassy space for photos.

One of my good friends, Joe Dolen—a fellow photographer in Central MA—joined me as a second shooter for the day. While we were working, Krysta suddenly said, “Are you Joe Dolen?” Joe smiled and said, “Yes, I am.”

Krysta exclaimed, “Oh my gosh, it was between you and Katlyn for our wedding photographer, and we hired her! Sorry!” We all laughed, and the jokes kept coming throughout the night. At one point, Krysta quipped, “We’ll hire you for the next one!” to which Joe and Stephen both replied, “The next one?!” It was such a funny moment, and I still love working with Joe to this day.

Everyone danced the night away at their super fun reception held in the barn! I would love to capture your wedding at The Barn at Wight Farm. Inquire today with Katlyn Reilly Photography to get started.
