Welcome Party Cruise on the Boston Harbor

Vini & Aris’s welcome party cruise on the Boston Harbor was so much fun! They planned an epic wedding weekend for family and friends to come and celebrate their love story in the heart of Boston.

One of the things Vini and Aris love to do together is travel. Vini chose to propose during one of their trips to New Orleans, a place that is special to Aris. She has been traveling to New Orleans with her mom for a long time so it was a meaningful place to her. I was honored to be asked to photograph the welcome party and post-wedding brunch during their wedding weekend!

We started the night by taking some portraits near the harbor before their guests arrived. Rain was threatening, but thankfully it never happened. We brought some umbrellas just in case and just used them as fun props! We took some portraits in the iconic archway of the Boston Harbor Hotel, where they were to be married the next day. Aris’s dress with bow long train looked incredible on her and paired so nicely with Vini’s red velvet jacket.

Welcome Party Cruise With The Charles River Boat Company

We headed over to the dock to join their guests on board “The Lexington!” This luxurious paddle-wheel boat by The Charles River Boat Company was an incredible experience! The boat features two levels with a full-service bar and catering options. There is an open-air upper deck and space for a sit-down dinner.

While the welcome party was casual, I thought everyone looked amazing! They came ready to party and enjoy the spectacular views of Boston. The entire night was lively and filled with great food and friends. Their DJ was fantastic and had the crowd dancing all night! Once it started to get dark we headed to the upper deck to take some portraits overlooking the city. I love how the fog rolled in behind them in those photos. I cannot imagine how fun their wedding must have been if their welcome party was such a blast!
